STORM CLOUDS

Storm clouds build over the southern branch of the Elizabeth River which is lined with industry. Further south the river turns into the Inter-coastal Waterway a major migration route for pleasure boaters. The waterway goes as far north as Maine and reaches to the southern areas of Florida. TWO RAIL CARS

SAND DUNES AND GRASS

In the summer the grass starts to cover the sand dunes. These sand dunes are located in the False Cape State Park in Virginia Beach. This is one of my favorite places to paint, it is quiet and secluded with miles of beaches.  Sometimes I take the camera and other times I paint Plein Air. This was painted in the studio.
